Pierre Alechinsky is the last surviving active artist from the CoBrA movement. Born in Brussels in 1927, he continues to work today in his studio just outside Paris.
His work is distinguished by a lyrical style and dynamic brushwork, showing clear influences from Eastern calligraphy. Alechinsky’s art is held in major private and museum collections around the world.
