Color is feeling. Color is language. For Jacqueline Bozon, color is the most powerful tool to express emotions, encounters, and stages of life. Her paintings arise entirely from intuition. She mixes her own colors and applies lines directly onto the canvas with her fingers – an intimate gesture that deepens the dialogue with the work. “The path is the goal to becoming who you are,” as Jacqueline herself says. Born in the Netherlands in 1966, Jacqueline Bozon is a self-taught artist, yet her curiosity and passion for painting eventually led her to an art academy in Belgium. Since then, she has dedicated herself entirely to her art, inspired by life in all its shades – exuberant or subtle – translating these impressions into abstract compositions of harmonious, colorful lines that are at once delicate and powerful.
Her technique is both mysterious and refined: carefully built layers of acrylic paint alternate with transparent layers of epoxy resin. This creates subtle depth, an almost tangible space that invites discovery. The top layer is like the first impression of a meeting; those who take the time to look longer uncover a fascinating layering, a play of light, shadow, and color that reveals new stories each time.
